Brauneck / Lenggries / Wegscheid
Researched: 24 October 2026
Choose the correct starting point
For rental at Brauneck, first decide whether you will begin at the main cable car or the practice slopes in Wegscheid. Skischule Lenggries rents directly beside the Draxlhang slope and the cross-country trail entrance. Its directions lead through the turn-off at Jachenauerstraße 28 towards the slope. The lift operator lists Draxl lifts at Untermurbach 24, Jauden lifts at Untermurbach 22 and the main cable car at Gilgenhöfe 28. Skischule Ecki Kober is also located at Jaudenhang. These addresses identify different businesses or access points and should not be treated as interchangeable locations.
Prices and equipment categories
Skischule Lenggries lists skis, boots and poles for adults or young people at €35 for one day. The corresponding child package is €23, with the child category explicitly applying to skis up to 130 centimetres long. This refers to ski length, not simply the height of the child. Skis without boots cost €23 or €17 respectively, and helmets cost another €8. The stated complete sets therefore range from €23 to €35 before adding a helmet. Checked on 24 October 2026, the table has no clear winter-season label, so confirm its validity in advance.
Draxlhang does not take reservations
According to its own website, this rental does not accept reservations. For planning, that matters more than any online reservation options offered by other businesses. Published winter hours are daily 08:00–16:30. Arrive with sufficient time for selection and fitting before a booked lesson; opening time does not guarantee immediate service. For unusual boot sizes or specific requirements, contact the shop in advance to ask how to proceed. The price list mentions a ten-percent reduction for rentals of at least three days or after 13:00. Ask which arrangement applies to your specific rental period.
Families between Draxlhang and Jaudenhang
A short distance between equipment collection and the confirmed meeting point is particularly useful on a first lesson day. However, a lesson at Jaudenhang is not automatically a lesson with Skischule Lenggries at Draxlhang. Check the business name on your confirmation. Staff should choose an appropriate ski length for children; do not select shorter skis solely to obtain a lower price. Try boots with the intended socks and check helmet and goggles together. Ordinary shoes are useful for breaks and the journey home. Clarify the return arrangements before moving to another access point after the lesson.
Train, ski bus and parking
The school describes travelling by train to Lenggries, then taking the ski bus to the Draxl-/Jaudenlifte stop. From there, Draxlhang is the slope on the left when looking uphill, with the office and rental directly beside it. Check the actual winter timetable and eligibility conditions for your date. By car, the described route leads from Bad Tölz along the B13 to Lenggries and then Wegscheid. Use signposted parking areas at the chosen access. The rental pages checked do not establish a binding current parking charge. Allow time for returning equipment and walking to the bus stop before departure.
